A care model for patients with neurodegenerative
As a result of ageing, the number of Europeans affected by Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and cardiovascular diseases is rising. Moreover, many patients face other chronic conditions, often termed ‘comorbidities’.
TeNDER project consortium is piloting an integrated care model in order to understand and meet user needs and provide support, giving all users more time to nourish their relationships, engage in activities that are mentally and physically beneficial, and markedly improve people’s quality of life.
STRATEGY AND SOLUTION
TeNDER project combines assistive technology easy to use and well-known, such as smartphones, health bands, motion sensors, and other similar devices, to monitor vital signs, capture movement and gait, and recognise emotional states and changes.
The patients’ personal contact with those who surround them will be not replaced, rather, TeNDER helps connect their environment in a way that extends their independence.

Process of pre-assessment of the most suitable digital technologies for the creation of an interoperable system architecture, as a new “digital standard” at European level in psycho-affective and physiological care pathways for elderly patients suffering from chronic and/or neurodegenerative diseases.
UI & UX Design
Collection of requirements for the definition of services and development of front-end layers:
wireframing, mockups production and development of Dashboards, website and web APP.
Virtual assistant module development, consisting of two sub-modules:
– voice tracker using emotional recognition;
– vocal reminder module via speaker.
Contribution to the development of other sub-modules and systems.
Dissemination & Exploitation
Maximise the impact of the project, assessing and increasing the influence at technical and demonstration levels, running promotional mechanisms around the activities and outcomes to raise awareness, increase project impact and expand end-users and stakeholders’ engagement.
